** Scattered thunderstorms and higher humidity will continue through the rest of the week but much improved weather arrives for the weekend especially on Fathers Day! Some of the thunderstorms on Thursday could be Severe and be ready for some loud thunder booms later tonight ( Wednesday night ). The cloudy and stormy pattern will end by the weekend. The average temperature at Bay Lake in June goes from an average high of 72 and an average low of 49 degrees on June 1st to an average high of 79 and average low of 56 on June 30th. Lake temperature are still a bit cool - mostly in the low to mid 60s around Bay Lake but should be climbing into the more comfortable 70 degree range in the next 10 days. Jonathan Yuhas







TODAY: Partly to mostly cloudy and muggy with a slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm during the late afternoon and evening but most areas should be dry although it will be humid.

Chance for rain today: 20% between now and 8 P.M. then higher thunderstorm odds this evening.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and muggy with scattered thunderstorms developing and becoming more widespread after 9 P.M. - some of the storms could be Strong and produce heavy downpours of rain at times along with loud booms of thunder. Some patchy fog will develop later tonight too.

Wind: Southeast 4 to 8 mph but higher gusts near thunderstorms.

Chance for rain tonight: 20% 6 P.M through 8 P.M. then 60% at 8 P.M. and 80% at 9 P.M. through sunrise Thursday.




THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning then showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon - some of the storms in during the day and evening could be Strong to Severe with frequent lightning, heavy downpours, hail and high wind gusts.

High: 79 degrees ( dew point 65 degrees - humid )

Wind: East-Southeast at 7 to 14 mph but higher gusts near thunderstorms.

Chance for rain: 60% before noon then 100% the rest of the day.

7 P.M. Cloudy with scattered showers and thundrestorms - chance for rain is 100% - temperatures will be in the low 70s with East winds at 6 to 12 mph. Sunset is 9:11 P.M.
