**By no means is today a significant severe weather day but a few isolated Strong Thunderstorms are possible from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. in an area from Andover ( far north Metro to Aitkin – east central MN ) – the biggest Severe weather threat will be hail as the storms first develop. Also there may some mid level rotation in the atmosphere to produce a brief funnel cloud around the Bay Lake / Mille Lacs area this afternoon.





TODAY: Breezy with partly to mostly cloudy skies and showers and thunderstorms developing after 1 P.M. - some of the storms when they first develop could be Strong with gusty winds, hail and possibly a funnel cloud.

High: 66 degrees.

Wind: South-Southwest at 9 to 18 mph with higher gusts near thunderstorms.

Chance for rain today: 20% at noon then 80% between 1 P.M. and 6 P.M.

** The UV Index today is 3, which is LOW, meaning you can sunburn in 45 to 50 minutes in the noon sun with out sun block even in cloudy conditions.



7 P.M. Weather: Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms - temperatures will be in the low 60s - winds will be Southwest at 8 to 16 mph. Sunset 8:25 P.M.





TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms - winds will become lighter after 10 P.M.

Low: 47 degrees.

Wind: Southwest at 6 to 12 mph.

Chance for rain tonight: 60% between 6 P.M. and 10 P.M. then 40% at 11 P.M. and 10% after 1 A.M. through sunrise Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY: A mix of clouds and sun with spotty thunderstorms in the afternoon - some of the storms could produce gusty winds and hail.

High: 70 degrees

Wind: Southwest at 9 to 18 mph.

Chance for rain: 10% 5 A.M. thru 10 A.M. then 30% 10 A.M. through 2 P.M. and 70% after 3 P.M. through 9 P.M.

7 P.M. Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms - chance for rain is 70% - temperatures will be in the mid 60s with Southwest winds at 8 to 16 mph.
